Custom views
Custom views provide you the option to save your favorite combination of filters in a single view. They also help you to filter and categorize your threads, making it easier to sort your messages. You can categorize your threads based on different categories, such as keywords, subject, from, to, and more, using the filter option.
Let's say you are in charge of all the billing-related queries for a customer support team that receives a high volume of requests everyday. Rather than searching for a specific message every time, it would be more efficient to create a custom view that filters messages based on specific criteria, such as the presence of the keyword "billing" in the subject or body. By creating this custom view, not only would the messages that already meet this specific condition be filtered, but any new incoming messages that comply with this condition would also be automatically listed under this custom view. This would mean that anyone in your team can view the corresponding threads under this custom view.
With the help of custom views, you can manage and prioritize your shared inbox messages by quickly accessing the messages that matter most to you.
Create custom views
Zoho TeamInbox lets you to create both shared and personal custom views
- Log in to Zoho TeamInbox and click the Search icon in the top pane.
- In the search bar, enter your filter criteria and click Search.
- Once the search results are displayed, click Save as custom view in the top pane to save this combination of conditions as your custom view.
- Enter a name for your custom view.
- Select if the custom view should be personal or shared, then click Save.
Your custom views will now appear in the left pane under the title Custom Views.
View/Edit custom views
To view shared custom view, follow these steps:
- Log in to Zoho TeamInbox, click the Settings icon and then More settings.
- Select Custom views from the left pane, then select the team under which you've created the custom view. Select the custom view you wish to view.
Note: Only the team admins can create or edit a shared custom view.
To view/edit personal custom view, follow these steps:
- In your Zoho TeamInbox account, select the Settings icon, then select More Settings.
- Choose Personal Custom Views from the Personal tab.
- You can view all the personal custom views you've previously created here. Select the custom view you wish to edit, make the necessary changes, and click Save.
