Custom Login in Zoho Mail - Frequently Asked Questions
Zoho Mail's custom login can be used to set up a unique URL for your organization to log in to Zoho Mail. Based on some recent changes at our end, you will have to update the respective CNAME value in your domain's DNS provider for the custom login to work efficiently. If you have questions about the change or the downtime that occurs during this change, please refer to our FAQs given below:
Question 1: Will I face any issues due to this change?
Answer: Once you point to the new CNAME, it will take some time for the new value to get propagated and a new SSL certificate will get generated. Your login URL will start working only after this change.
Question 2: When should I perform this CNAME change?
Answer: We highly recommend you to perform this operation during a holiday or when the number of new logins is at its lowest. If any of your users face difficulty in accessing the custom login URL, please suggest that they access Zoho Mail's direct link to log in for a short period until the new changes get reflected.
Question 3: For how long will I face downtime due to this change?
Answer: The downtime might extend anywhere from 30 minutes to 48 hours. Since this change involves DNS value updates, certificate generation, and propagation time, the time taken for these changes to reflect varies for each organization based on a number of factors.
Question 4: Will this impact the users who are already logged in using the custom login URL?
Answer: No, this change will only affect the users who are attempting to log in using the custom login URL in the course of the downtime.
Question 5: How do I access Zoho Mail during the downtime?
Answer: You can log in to Zoho Mail and access your mailbox.
Question 6: Who do I get in touch with, if I have more questions regarding this change?
Answer: Please feel free to reach out to the Zoho Mail Support Team at support@zohomail.comto get your questions resolved.
