Benefits of Meeting framework
- Manage meetings from Zoho Desk
- Sync 'Completed' status of meetings with Desk event status
- Start/join meetings from within the Desk comment
- View meeting information in associated events
Manage meetings from Zoho Desk
Users can perform all CRUD operations (create, view, edit, and delete) on meetings directly from the Desk, eliminating the need to switch to a particular meeting service.
For example, if Zoho Meetings is integrated within the Zoho Desk, users can schedule or join a meeting right within the Zoho Desk.
Sync 'Completed' status of meetings with Desk event status
The framework synchronizes the 'Completed' status of the meeting with the status of the Desk event.
For example, if a Zoho meeting has ended, its status will be marked as 'Completed.' Since the meeting status is synchronized with the Desk event, the Desk event will also be updated to reflect this completed status.
Notes:
- Only one-way synchronization is allowed, where the changes in the meeting status will be reflected in the event status, but not vice versa.
- Synchronization happens every 15 minutes.
Start/join meetings from within the Desk comment
- The framework simplifies the process of starting or joining meetings directly from within the Desk Ticket comment.
- The framework updates the meeting details in the private comment of the ticket. A comment is added to the ticket whenever a meeting is created or when the meeting status changes to updated or completed.
- Users can customize the private ticket comment template on the extension installation page under the Meeting Details tab.
View meeting information in associated events
The framework allows users to view meeting details within the event detail page. Furthermore, users can also initiate meetings from the event detail view.
