Describe your current role in the organization.

I'm a product design manager, and I lead a talented team of creative designers. My main goal is to create a collaborative and productive environment where we make great designs that fit our project needs. Every day, I engage in tasks that revolve around charting a well-defined path forward, offering valuable technical insights and assistance to our development colleagues, and ensuring our engineering endeavors match the big picture of the product. This role presents its challenges, but the sense of accomplishment that comes from working closely with developers and quality assurance experts to achieve precision and efficiency makes it incredibly fulfilling. I believe, 'The bigger the challenges, the better your growth!'

What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?

journey

Being part of the Zoho family has truly shaped my professional journey in a remarkable way. Zoho’s vibrant company culture, which champions flexibility, embraces opportunities, and thrives on teamwork, has significantly influenced both my identity within the organization and the nature of my work. The fact that Zoho genuinely treasures its employees and cultivates a positive workspace fills me with immense gratitude. Knowing that my efforts contribute positively not only to the company, but also to my fellow colleagues’ experiences, is incredibly fulfilling. This shared sense of purpose fuels our determination to consistently bring our A-game in everything we undertake.

What were the highest and lowest points of your journey with Zoho?

My journey with Zoho has been akin to a steady, flowing river, with each experience blending seamlessly into the next. If I were to reflect on the ups and downs, the lowest points were when projects I put meticulous effort into weren’t published or when an app wasn’t uploaded to the store at the last minute.

But over time, these challenges are exactly what shaped me and the way I approached things. They became opportunities for learning and growth. The highest points emerged when I found new ways to connect with real-time users, resulting in valuable feedback and a sense of accomplishment.

Today, as a manager for product design on specific products, I find myself at a juncture that represents not just a peak achievement, but a culmination of constant progression. This journey, marked by a steady upward trajectory, has been a story woven by the threads of experience, exploration, and the thirst for what lies ahead.

A standout experience to share was with Zoho TeamInbox. As a designer, I've been privileged to witness a wide range of UI/UX designs unfold on my screen. Notably, comparing the mobile with desktop platforms were like contrasting two vibrant landscapes. Recently, I got to work on a new project—a desktop app, something I hadn't done before. Working with the development team to make sure the app worked well on iOS and Android was an exciting experience. It's incredible to see how much work goes into creating a great user experience on different devices.

What are your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?

journey

When I’m not working, I love traveling to discover new places. Playing badminton keeps me active and happy. I also enjoy chatting on online forums where I learn from different people.

I have equal fun when I am at work too. During my journey, I've been fortunate to dive into various mobile apps like Zoho Meeting, Zoho Assist, Lens, and more. This journey has been a treasure trove of learning in the UI/UX realm.
