Describe your current role
in the organization.

I started off as a technical writer for Zoho Mail. I had an excellent opportunity to explore multiple roles and mentor a lot of people there. Now, I lead and mentor a team of writers, and work with product managers to make Zoho Mail better than the best.

What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?

Zoho’s open culture has been a key in making me who I am today.

From Sridhar Vembu, the CEO, to the Zoho Schools student who joined our team yesterday, people are passionate with great ideas and ready to explore different paths—yet so reachable and down to earth.

The key slogan is “Agree to Disagree”. We are allowed to experiment, try and learn the hard way and try not to repeat our mistakes. After all these years, Zoho Mail has become a part of my life.

What were the highest and lowest points of your journey with Zoho?

journey

My journey in Zoho started with me trying to learn about email and build user education resources from scratch. While it cannot be called a roller coaster ride, I have been learning the product and growing along with that; it has been an exciting journey so far. The highs come whenever I represent Zoho at an event or when there is praise about the product or the product resources.

One of the lowest points of my journey was also the lowest point of Zoho Mail. That was during the Chennai 2015 floods, which coincided with the DDOS attack on us. We as a team also learned and started implementing a lot of things from the low point and expanded our growth from there.

What are your hobbies or favorite
activities outside of work?

I love my family and they have supported me a lot in this journey. Spending time with my family and my kids is one of my favorite activities, outside of my routine. I also love to listen to music, watch movies, and read books in my free time.
