I currently head the marketing department for Zoho’s Finance suite, globally.

What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?

When you spend so many years with an organization, it inevitably becomes a part of who you are as a person, as well. The people, culture, and philosophy all get ingrained in your way of life. Some can detach themselves, but for the majority, Zoho becomes the way of life.

Is there a project or an accomplishment at Zoho you're proud of?

One prominent instance was on July 1st, 2017, when GST was introduced in India. We also introduced our GST-compliant accounting software for the market. We launched a full-blown, 360-degree marketing campaign towards this and received an overwhelming response to the campaign. Calls started pouring in from 6:30 AM. The way our teams came together to handle the situation and guide customers was beyond impressive. Right from senior leadership all the way to freshers who had just joined a week ago, everyone was answering calls and emails. That day, for me, remains fresh even today. Personally, it was like a culmination and beginning of many things.

What are your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?

When the pandemic hit, I started many projects—gardening and baking topping the chart. Both, in their own ways, have been therapeutic. Of late, I have been reading into personal finance and investing: a subject I feel should be taught in school early on.
