Describe your current role
in the organization.
In my role as an experienced leader, program director, and lead solution architect, I specialize in implementing Zoho solutions for a variety of mid-market and enterprise clients. This involves recommending appropriate Zoho services, automating their business processes, integrating third-party applications, constructing a unified dashboard, and delivering a seamless, simplified experience.
My focus is on cultivating customer loyalty through trust building and proficient problem solving. I consistently demonstrate dedication to excellence, skillfully overseeing multiple projects, and constructing successful teams in software development, business analysis, and project delivery.
What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?
Following my two-year tenure as an application engineer in a VoIP company, I embarked on a journey with Zoho as a technical support engineer. Subsequently, I advanced to become an implementation expert for all ManageEngine products. Assuming the role of Regional Manager in Australia, I accumulated years of experience in presales, training, and implementation services in Melbourne. Upon returning to India, I established a presales team for a low-code product, defining processes, and mentoring the team to achieve technical conversions through proof of concepts and contextual demo sessions. In parallel, I spearheaded the establishment of a new group company. This unit employs resources dedicated to assisting in implementations, showcasing the trust placed in my abilities to lead and drive strategic initiatives within the organization.
At Zoho, I enjoy the freedom to explore and implement innovative business development ideas, fostering enhanced customer satisfaction. The work-life balance is ideal, allowing for continuous learning of cutting-edge technologies. Zoho has provided opportunities to engage with customers across retail, mid-market, and enterprise sectors through various activities, including presales and implementation workshops, customer visits, and global tradeshow events. I am grateful for the chance to deliver technical sessions at numerous events worldwide.
What were the highest and lowest points of your journey with Zoho?
A pinnacle achievement was completing the application implementation within five days for a $100K deal. The experience involved engaging meetings and sessions with both C-level executives and tech enthusiasts, resulting in a remarkable success story. Another notable highlight was achieving and sustaining a presales conversion rate of 42% during my tenure in Australia.
I cannot recall any moments of adversity in my journey with Zoho thus far.
Your most embarrassing blunder?
An onsite implementation and training session was scheduled for a customer in Lakeland, Florida. I faced difficulty locating the customer’s premises, which were situated within a monolithic concrete dome constructed for disaster recovery purposes. As I searched for buildings or a conventional office, I unintentionally overlooked the dome and spent an hour navigating the surrounding area. It was embarrassing to realize I had not noticed the dome and its entry door sooner.
What are your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?
Preferred leisure activities beyond work include playing badminton, organizing outings for my kids and friends, spending time at a nearby orphanage, pursuing philately, and enjoying reading thrillers by James Hadley Chase (big fan).
