Describe your current role
in the organization.
In my role as Program Manager, I lead the product management efforts for Zoho Writer, our flagship online word-processing application that directly competes with industry giants like Google Docs and Microsoft Word. I oversee the development of new features and product improvements, prioritizing them based on customer and business needs. My ultimate goal is to make Zoho Writer the best online word processor it can be, satisfying both user requirements and maintaining market competitiveness.
What role does Zoho’s company culture play in your identity and the work that you do?
Zoho’s culture encourages a hands-on approach, fostering experimentation and innovation. This autonomy allows me to confidently explore new avenues without the fear of repercussions of unsuccessful attempts. Additionally, an environment free from undue pressure regarding deliverables or short-term revenue generation empowers me to focus on strategic initiatives and long-term growth objectives.
What were the highest and lowest points of your journey with Zoho?
My lowest point was seeing a couple of projects I worked on being shelved. However, the rearchitecting of Zoho Writer for real-time collaboration stands as my highest achievement. Witnessing it become the default word processor within Zoho brought me immense joy.
What are your hobbies or favorite activities outside of work?
Cooking and staying informed about current events in politics.
