Information on Average Monthly Active Recipients of Service in the European Union

The Digital Services Act (DSA) entered into force on November 16, 2022. DSA is an initiative by the European Parliament to protect consumers and their fundamental rights online and to create a greater transparency and accountability framework for Intermediary Services. Intermediary Services include online platforms such as online marketplaces.

Zoho Marketplace is an online marketplace covered under the DSA. Zoho Marketplace is an online store where Zoho users can find and install over 2000 ready-to-use extensions and custom apps that expand the core functionality of their Zoho applications.

According to Article 24(2) of the DSA, all online platforms are required to publish 'information on the average monthly active recipients of the service in the Union'. Average monthly active recipients of the service is calculated as an average over the period of the past six months. The purpose behind this provision is for determining whether an online platform is a very large online platform having at least 45 million average monthly active recipients of the service in the Union.

We have calculated the average monthly active recipients for Zoho Marketplace for the past six months (as on July 31, 2024) in the European Union, and it is well below the 45 million average monthly active recipients threshold required for a very large online platform. For calculating the active recipients of the services we have considered all developers/sellers on the platform; users who have installed the applications and all unique users who have visited the platform at least once in the last six months.

We will update this section periodically with the information on the average monthly active recipients of the service in the European Union.
