Background

Zylker Manufacturers is one of the largest industrial manufacturing companies in Europe, with branch offices in over a dozen countries. The main divisions of the company are energy and infrastructure, with over 5,000 employees across locations, and over $2B turnover.

The need

At that time, Zylker Manufacturers were on the lookout for a software solution that would help them manage cash at various installation sites, which at that time was controlled through an array of tools, such as paper, spreadsheets, and email. This led to challenges, such as limited visibility, lack of approval management systems, theft, fraud, and poor data quality.

Solution

Zylker used Zoho Creator to create a custom petty cash management solution to tackle its challenges. The solution developed on the Creator platform has significantly reduced paper-based and email-based processes that needed manual intervention within the organization.

With the help of the cash management app, site workers were handed cash to purchase materials and logged it into the app. After the purchase, the worker uploaded the receipt onto the app, and could hold on to the remaining cash and request more as needed.

As a cloud-based solution, stakeholders across their different sites were able to access, fill out, and use data in the application, which was not possible while using paper and spreadsheets. Access to real-time information allowed stakeholders to oversee payments across the different active sites, which was converted to an intuitive dashboard.
