What are
After creating and testing your extensions, the next step is to submit your extension to the marketplace. All the newly developed extensions, submitted for listing in the marketplace will have to undergo the approval process. This includes the version upgrades of the existing extensions as well. This is done inorder to provide the users the best extensions for their Zoho CRM and a chance for the developers to provide quality extensions that will generate more customers to thems.
When your plugin is submitted for approval, it will be tested to ensure that your extension works as promised. Apart from its working the extension also has to adhere to our standard branding and approval guidelines.
Branding Guidelines
Extension Branding Guidelines
Branding your extension is as important as developing a good extension because it makes it easy for customers to identify your extension from the rest.
You are expected to provide the following details while filling out the submission form:

Extension Name | - |
Extension Namespace | The unique namespace that you've provided while creating your extension. This will help us prevent other users from creating an extension with the same namespace. |
Short Description | A crisp and clear description of your extension, preferably in one line that will help you make the best impression on the users. |
Long Description | A complete description of what your extension does and how will the customers benefit from it. |
Main Screenshot | The master screenshot that will be placed in the Extension Details page, right below your extension name. This screenshot should provide a clear picture of the components that will be added to Zoho CRM. |
Extension Logo | This logo will be displayed in various places like the details page, installed extensions page. The logo's size should be 120 x 120 and must be in one of the following formats: .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png |
Extension Banner | The extension banner will be displayed when your extension appears in the search result or in the marketplace homepage when they browse through the list for suitable extension. The logo's size should be 310 x 142 and must be in one of the following formats: .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png |
Video Link | If you have a video that explains how your add-on works, provide the iframe link for it. |
Developer Branding Guidelines
In addition to branding your extension, it is also important to provide developer details that will help your customers identify and contact you incase they need any support for your extensions.
You are expected to provide the following details while filling out the submission form:
- Company Name
- Company Logo - The logo's size should be 120 x 120 and must be in one of the following formats: .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png.
- Developer address
- Developer description
- Contact number
- Contact e-mail
These details will be displayed in Developer Details page of your extension.
Approval Guidelines
All the extensions that will be listed in the marketplace, shoud meet the following criteria

Working | Your extension should work just the way you promise it to. |
Edition compatibility | Zoho CRM comes in three different editions and not all features are compatible with all the editions. If your extension involves such features which might work only certain editions, please specify them in the Compatible Edition Column. |
Help documentation | You are expected to provide a proper help document, that will guide the user on how to install and set up and use your extension. |
Performance of the system | Your extension should not degrade the performance of the CRM system to which it is installed. |
Data Privacy | The extension should not illegally access and transfer data from the CRM account it is installed to. All the data transfer (incase of third party integrations) that happens upon installation has to be explicitly mentioned in the description and should happen only upon the authorization of the user. |
Accounts with external services | If the extension allows integrations with a third party service that requires seperate free/paid accounts, mention it clearly in the details page. |
Support | Apart from providing help documents it is also important to provide customer support by email, phone, or any other possible source. Specify all these details clearly in the extension submission form. |
Bug Fixes and Modifications | For version updates of existing extensions clearly mention all the fixes and modifications you've made and how it will enhance the performance of your extension. |
