Voiding

In an accounting software, voiding is the process of cancelling a transaction before it is completed. Let’s say a seller has created a quote or an invoice with errors. If the seller doesn’t prefer to delete this quote or invoice, they can void it. Voided transactions will be excluded from financial reporting but will be available in the accounting system for future reference.
