What is the Zoho Marketplace?
Zoho Marketplace is an open sales environment where developers can list their extensions at no cost. The Marketplace is a hub for Zoho's large customer base to search for a variety of extensions to improve their CRM experience. The developers can market and sell the extension with their own pricing.
How can I post my extension in the Zoho Marketplace?
When you publish your extension, you will see an option to submit it for review by Zoho's quality control team, Once your extension has been reviewed by the Zoho team, it will be listed in the Marketplace along with all of its marketing content.
How long is the review process?
Reviewing an extension for the Marketplace takes two business days. We will send you a notification email as soon as the review team has finished.
How can I start building extensions for the Marketplace?
To build your extensions, you must sign up for a Zoho Developer account and get access to the Developer Console. Access to the Developer Console is absolutely free for building and selling extensions in the Marketplace.
Who owns the extensions I publish on the Marketplace?
The developer owns the extensions they build.
What is a native extension?
A native extension is a bundle of CRM components and customizations, that add functionality to the user's Zoho CRM account. The list of CRM components that can be bundled as a part of a native extension are: Modules, Fields, Workflow Automation, Related Lists, Web Tabs, Custom Buttons and Links, Email and Inventory Templates. The extension is called a 'Native Extension' because any changes the extension performs happen only within the CRM account.
How do extension customers get support?
Support requests raised by the extension customers will be answered by the extension developers.
Can I privately share an extension with my customers?
Yes! Click "Share Privately" option in the Extension Details page to share your extension with anyone through email.
What payment models does the Marketplace offer?
Share extension publicaly and collect payment through Zoho:
Allow your customers to evaluate and purchase your extension through the Zoho Marketplace. Payments from the Marketplace will be processed through Zoho's existing payment system.
Share extension privately and collect payment independently:
Allow customers to purchase your extensions directly from you or your website. After payment, send your customers an access link that allows them to activate the extension for their CRM account.
Offer extensions free of charge:
Your extensions will be available to any CRM user for free.
How are payments handled for extensions listed on the Marketplace?
Payment is handled by Zoho. When your subscribers upgrade their account they will be redirected to the Zoho Payment gateway where they can complete the transaction.
How often does Zoho transfer payment for the extensions to the developer?
The developer will be paid on a monthly basis as long as they have accured at least $100 in sales. If not, the balance will be rolled over to the next month's payment cycle.
How long can an extension's trial period be, and how will the customer be notified?
Your extension can provide a 10-day free trial for end users. The customers will be notified of the trial status by email.
