The year we pushed boundaries
Zoho Campaigns steps up the game
Dear Users,
2021 was an incredible ride as we at Zoho Campaigns made some major changes in the product to bring you the best of email marketing.
We faced a small set-back in the beginning and had to retract some updates after the strong feedback we received. You were so patient though and stood by us while we re-calibrated our move ahead. Thank you!
With all the experiences and learning guiding us, we dished out a series of updates—some major and others minor but important changes. The feedback we've been receiving from you is encouraging and has given us the confidence to work harder towards making Zoho Campaigns a one-stop destination for your email marketing needs.
Click the emails on your left and re-live the journey with us and celebrate what we've achieved.
We couldn't have done this without you.

An updated pricing model
Price points details
We've reworked our pricing model solely around the number of contacts you want to manage. While the changes were introduced to make purchase decisions easier for our prospective customers, we've ensured that our existing customers can seamlessly transition to the new model.
Our Subscriber-based plan has just been renamed as Professional, while the Email-based plan is renamed as Standard and based around the number of contacts instead of emails.
Moreover, a 14-day free trail is rolled out to help our prospective customers assess Campaigns in its best form.
More on pricing plans is here.
CRM-Campaigns integration gets simpler
Our CRM configuration is now hassle-free
A simplified version of our Campaigns-CRM integration is out now! It's aimed at reducing the manual efforts needed for the configuration and making the flow of data from CRM to Campaigns seamless.
In the new version, you just have to configure one sync for your leads, contacts, and custom modules—they're all instantaneous. More importantly, there's no longer any need to run separate syncs for your related accounts and deals modules because they are also synced instantly with this one configuration. This update is live only for new customers and will be soon made available to the existing customers.
This one-time configuration also means that every record associated with the modules will be instantly synced by default. You're free to mark them as 'marketing' and 'non-marketing' inside Zoho Campaigns so you are only paying for your marketing contacts.

Org-level segmentation for easy organizing
Precise grouping of contacts
This November we changed how list segmentation is done in Zoho Campaigns. Earlier, any email campaign had to be sent to a list. To send targeted emails to a specific group within a list, contacts were divided into smaller segments based on demographics, industry, company size, etc.
As part of this new update, you can now see all the segments within the organization, with all the criteria-matched contacts across Zoho Campaigns in one place.
The idea behind doing this was to remove the mandate of mailing list creation for adding and segmenting contacts inside Zoho Campaigns and simplify how you manage them.

Workflows get a makeover
Workflows simplified
November also brought about changes to our Workflows feature, meant for subscriber-based pricing model users. We've removed repetitive components while keeping the workflow functionalities intact, without any impact on running Workflows. It's important to note that beyond September 30, 2022, we will deprecate support for all existing workflows that use old components.
Below are some of the objectives you can attain in our new workflow set up.
- Re-enroll a contact into the same workflow
- Specify criteria and remove contacts who don't match the workflow's trigger criteria
- Choose a specific date to begin your workflow with the "Date-field" trigger
- Delay your campaigns, make last-minute changes, and then resume the campaign to fetch maximum engagement with the updated "Wait Time" condition
- Allow every contact to reach the desired goals with "Exit Criteria"

Multi-portal support for the multitaskers
Easy shift between portals
If you're an email marketer handling multiple brands, we made our multi-portal feature just for you. Now you can switch portals and choose which one to monitor with its help.
Earlier it was possible for you to be a part of only one organization. Now you can access multiple organizations from the same account. While managing multiple organizations, you can switch portals (organizations) and choose which organization to monitor or control with the help of the multi-portal support.
For example, if you're an email marketer for three different brands (say, Zylker FoodHub, Zylker Fashion, and Zylker Electronics) of the same company (Zylker), you can have individual portals set up for these three brands under one account using the multi-portal support, and you can switch between these portals as and when required. You can also select a default portal based on the usage.

All-new Topic Preferences set-up to boost engagement
Let your contacts choose
In September, we re-introduced our Topic Management setup with added features and also made some changes in our List and Contact Management setup. The features that went live in September were designed to achieve targeted communication as it allows your subscribers to choose what topics they’re interested in, whether newsletters, product updates, marketing materials, and more.
The other advantages of the new Topic Management include:
- Low unsubscribe rates
- Better-performing campaigns with good open and click rates
- Helps you build long-lasting relationships with customers
- Guides you in sending personalized content
- Better overall deliverability

Contact Management for sending targeted emails
Tracking progress made easy
Contact Management, simply put, is the act of storing, organizing your contact. When it comes to email marketing, it goes beyond. It is the backbone of your marketing and sales strategies as it allows you to send personalized content and targeted marketing messages.
Keeping this in mind, we bring to you our new Contact Management system. It allows users to add contacts and track their progress to deliver highly personalized and targeted email campaigns, prompting more conversions.
Now you can organize your contacts by assigning a subscription type while importing them. The subscription types for every contact you add include marketing, non-marketing, or unsubscribed. This ensures you only send your campaigns to the contacts labelled as marketing.
Apart from this users can now import contacts from multiple sources. They can create and send topic-based campaigns by directly associating your contacts with the topic of their choice and categorize diverse contacts within an email list to quickly retrieve your prospective recipients while sending your email campaign.

Email marketing on the go
ZC has an app!
This year we introduced our new mobile app that allows email marketing on the go. Be it the bottom navigation style in Android or the drag-to-dismiss style in iOS, our mobile app lets you do it all in style.
The app is design is intuitive and effective as it allows you to keep all information such as your campaigns, mailing lists, and active contacts accessible in one place.
With this app you can create new contacts from scratch, add them to your account, and start sending them emails, all from your mobile devices. Check on existing mailing lists and add or import contacts to them or even create new lists.
Once you send the campaign, you can immediately check the overall performance rate of your emails. Also, share these reports via email to have a quick discussion with your peers.
