Earnings Per Share (EPS)

Earnings Per Share (EPS) measures a company’s profitability per share by dividing its net income by the total number of outstanding common shares. Investors use EPS to gauge financial performance, and it’s reported in quarterly and annual statements. Generally a higher EPS signals better profitability and can positively influence the company’s stock price.
