2023 Wrapped: What

2023 has been an eventful year for Zoho Sign. From winning industry recognition and enhancing core features to achieving additional compliance with regulations and adding more integrations, Zoho Sign left no stone unturned in stepping up its standards as a leading, comprehensive, cloud-based digital signature application. Here are the app's notable developments and achievements in 2023:

Recognition from analyst firms

Zoho Sign was an industry-favorite this year, winning laurels from reputable analyst firms. The list includes:

These reports commended Zoho Sign for its comprehensive features, wide range of customizations, various integrations, and user-friendliness.

QES and AES add an additional layer of protection to your digitally signed documents. AES requires authentication of the signer's identity via a government-issued ID or a verification code. On the other hand, QES is a type of AES that requires the digital signature certificate to be issued by a qualified trust service provider (QTSP). QES is the only type of digital signature legally equivalent to physical signatures in the European Union.

Zoho Sign already had integrations with QTSPs like Uanataca and InfoCert, as well as with regional IDs like the European Union eID. It has now expanded to include:

  • AES via TrustFactory for the European Union and South Africa
  • QES via Swisscom and itsme for the European Union
  • QES viaEU eIDs such as SimplySign for Poland and Belgian eID for Belgium

Also, signing with regional IDs such as Aadhaar eSign for India and Sign with Singpass for Singapore is now available across all paid editions.

Recipient authentication ensures that only the intended signers securely receive the sent documents. You can now authenticate recipients using knowledge-based authentication via IDology in the USA.

Digital signatures are not one-size-fits-all. Design your own unique signing process using our various customizations, including new provisions to customize:

  • Date fields: Format the Date and Sign Date signer fields.
  • Automatic signer field navigation: Customize or disable automatic signer field navigation.
  • White label and domains: Map the Zoho Sign app with your business domain in addition to the existing custom branding functions to operate its services directly from your domain. This helps you maintain brand identity and trust.
  • Additional email templates: We've made more customizations available for emails that notify users of document activity.

Zoho Sign's features have seen unique and useful developments in the past year. Here are a few of them:

  • Templates: Import and export templates in a ZIP file, merge up to 10 templates in a document, and add documents created from templates to specific folders.
  • Schedule send: Schedule documents to be sent to recipients later, anywhere between 30 minutes to 30 days.
  • Extensive integrations: Integrate with other Zoho apps (Zoho Directory, Zoho Billing, and Zoho Practice) and third-party apps (OpenAI via Zia, Freshsales, and Zendesk Sell).
  • Recipient limit increased to 1,000 in bulk send.

Zoho Sign had an eventful year, with many feature additions and enhancements, integrations, and legal compliance goals achieved. Some of these key developments include:

  • Multiple portals/organizations: Use a single email address or Zoho account to create or become a part of multiple portals or organizations. Navigate and manage them from the same account.
  • Languages added for vernacular signing: Arabic, Hebrew, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Chinese (Traditional), and Vietnamese are now supported.
  • eStamping for India.
  • Compliance with life sciences and healthcare frameworks such as the US FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and the EU Volume 4 GMP Annex 11
