A feature to make organizing and subsequently paying employees on your payroll much easier - reporting tags. Works the way it sounds. You basically assign a tag to an employee based on a category they come under, then choose how / how much / when , etc., you pay that particular group of employees, by selecting that tag.
Examples include differentiating between pay cycles of day and night shift workers, full-time and temporary workers, etc.,
There is a different use to this feature also. You could generate reports based on these tags. Reports like payroll summary, leave encashment summary, LOP summary, etc.,
Say there is a lethargy in the night shift with more of them taking more days off. So you bring in a new leave encashment policy to incentivize them to be their best at the workplace. For every day they don't take off, they get an extra day's salary by the end of that year. This works and people immediately stop their rampant leave-taking and come into work regularly.
Now if you're the HR executive that came up with this idea, you could immediately pull up a report from the reports module comparing the leave encashment summary before and after this policy change and show the upper management what a sizeable difference your contribution has made. Or if you're the owner, you could do the same with your stakeholders.
