3 new ways to be more productive and organized with Zoho Notebook

Zoho Notebook always helps you to stay on top of your thoughts. Today, we’re announcing 3 new features which will help you be even more productive and organized. You can now set recurring reminders for your note cards, share and co-work on notebooks, and read articles saved to Notebook when you're offline. We’ve also updated our app with some performance updates, making day-to-day usage smoother. Now let’s see all these features in more detail!

Get reminded when you need it

We all have regular tasks to do, and sometimes we can forget about them if we aren't given a reminder now and again. Even though you could always set reminders for your note cards in Notebook, they only used to remind you once. Now, you can ask Notebook to remind you at set intervals.

You can choose between daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reminders. You can also choose to keep being reminded forever, or have them stop after a date or a certain number of occurrences. Never miss your routine tasks using recurring reminders in Notebook!

Share and co-work in your notebooks

Earlier last year, we added the capability to share note cards with your peers and friends, with either read or write access. Since then, we've received a lot of requests from our users to share entire notebooks, and we've obliged. You can now share an entire notebook with your coworkers and friends.

Similar to sharing a note card, you can choose to share a notebook with read-only or edit access. Edit permission, when sharing a notebook, will allow the shared users to add new note cards, modify existing note cards, and trash them. You can also save note cards from shared notebooks offline.

Read articles offline

We love to save article links to Notebook to read them later. At times, though, we'd like to read an article when we’re not connected to the internet. You no longer have to worry about your internet connectivity while saving articles in Notebook. When you save any website link in Notebook, the app extracts the contents minus the ads, and adds it to that note. This even syncs across your devices. You can read your saved articles anywhere, anytime.

And we don’t stop there! You can even ask the app to read the content for you, as well as control the speed and choose different accents while the app reads for you.

Start using these features in Notebook today and improve your productivity! If you have any comments or concerns, leave them below, or reach out to us at support@zohonotebook.com.

We're beginning the year with all of these features—but don't worry, we have many more updates to follow. Stay tuned!

  1. I simply love ZOHO! Thank you very much for this awesome app Varadarajan! It is actually way faster and easier to use than Evernote, and packed with features, too! I'm lucky to have come across this app. Congratulations!

  2. I’m loving Notebook! Thanks for providing it for free! I’m having trouble figuring out how to place a pic from my photos app into a note. Could you please advise me on how to do this? Thanks again for the great app!!!

    1. Hi Debbie Thank you for the love. To save pictures from your photos app to Notebook please follow these steps: 1. Open Notebook app and click Capture 2. Swipe left to choose Gallery 3. Choose any of the photos and click Done Please check if you've provided necessary permissions for Notebook to access photos. Reach out to us at support@zohonotebook.com for any assistance.

  3. Thanks for the update on new features Varadarajan, the Google keep migration is broken for some time, any timeline for fixing that?

    1. Hi Sankrit, The Google Keep migration seems to be working fine. Can you please send a feedback from the app? We'll assist you accordingly.

  4. Will there be a tutorial on how the sharing features actually work once the notebook is shared? I shared a notebook with my husband with notes related to a trip we’re planning but when he tries to add notes that notebook is not an option. It seems like as long as the shared notebook is separated from your original notebooks it doesn’t share the same options?

    1. Hi Eileen, There are two modes to sharing a notebook. You can share with read-only access and edit access. Seems like you've shared with read-only access. Can you please change the access type and try again?

  5. I love Zoho Notebook. I just love it’s features and the creative interface. I mean, it’s really just like how you use a psychical notebook, as you can add notebook covers. It had Zia, it’s very own assistant, all formatting options, grid and list views, sketch pad, markup images, and probably a hundred more great features. I like it even better then Evernote because it’s just downright easy and simply to use. Basically it’s an all-in-one note taking app but it’s more then that.
