While we try our best to remain efficient and productive, it's easy to let the little, monotonous tasks distract us. However, with the continued development of AI personal assistants, it's possible to offload your daily repetitive work onto them, and concentrate on the things that really need your attention.
So let's dive into the topic of discussion for today—Siri and team communication. By now you must be aware of the many ways Siri can be useful, from booking tables to finding the current song that's playing. Let's go one step further and take a look at how Siri can help you even in your workplace—all you have to do is ask.
Tell Siri, get it done
Imagine you're commuting and want to check with your teammate on yesterday's meeting. Instead of unlocking your phone, opening Cliq, and typing a message, you can directly ask Siri to do it for you by saying, "Hey Siri, send a message to Scott on Cliq" followed by your message. Siri will take down your message and send it in text! If you want to follow up with a call, you can simply say, "Hey Siri, video call Scott using Cliq" and get on with your discussion.
Shortcuts are a time saver
You can also enable preconfigured shortcuts in Cliq, to set your status, view unread chats, and to see your important starred messages—just by asking Siri for them. Go to Cliq Settings > Siri Shortcuts and add them to your arsenal.
Customize shortcuts your way
You can also build your own shortcuts in the Shortcuts app. Say you're entering a meeting and won't be on your phone for the next hour. You can put your phone on DND, and then set the status as Busy in Cliq, so your colleagues know that you'll be unavailable for instant replies and calls. What if you could do this in just one tap?
Simply create your own shortcut, such that enabling Busy on Cliq, turns on DND mode on your iPhone. How cool is that? Now you'll never again have to worry about embarrassing yourself in a meeting because you forgot to turn off your ringer. Watch the video below to learn how to configure this shortcut.
