Steps to configure single sign-on for Smartsheet
- Log into Zoho Vault as an administrator.
- Navigate to Apps > Manage Apps > Add Supported App.
- Search for and select Smartsheet.
- Click Next.
- Copy the Zoho Vault details from the screen or download the details as a metadata file by clicking the Download MetaData File option.
- Click Next.
- Select users to have single sign-on permissions for Smartsheet. You can revoke user access at any time.
- Click Save.
Smartsheet configuration steps
- Log into Smartsheet as an administrator.
- Select Account > Account Admin > Security Controls.
- In the Security Controls form, select Edit in the Authentication section.
- In the Authentication form, click not configured next to SAML.
- Open the SAML Administration form and select Add IdP.
- Provide a nickname for your IdP (Zoho Vault).
- Paste Zoho Vault's metadata into the IdP Metadata text field.
- Click Save. Smartsheet will validate the metadata.
- If the metadata verification is successful, the Edit IdP form will open.
- Click Activate to enable the IdP for use with Smartsheet. The IdP status will change from Inactive to Active, Default.
- In the Authentication form, check the SAML box to enable SAML for your organization. Note that there must be at least one active IdP before you can enable SAML.
