Employee Deductions


The Employee Deductions summary in Zoho Payroll provides an overview of deductions made from employees’ pay over a specified period. This report shows the amount contributed by employees toward various deductions, helping you track payroll withholdings accurately.


Viewing Employee Deduction Summary

To view your Employee Deductions report:

  1. Go to Reports on the left sidebar.
  2. Select Employee Deductions.
  3. Use the date selector at the top of the page to choose the period you wish to analyze. Options include:
    • This Week
    • This Month
    • This Quarter
    • This Year
    • Previous Week
    • Previous Month
    • Previous Quarter
    • Previous Year
    • Custom

The report will display deduction data for the selected period, organized by employee and deduction component.


Employee Deductions Summary Components

The report includes the following columns to provide a detailed view of each employee’s deductions:

Component Description
Employee Name Displays the name of each employee included in the report.
Employees’ Contribution Shows the total amount contributed by employees for each deduction during the selected period.

Exporting Employees Deductions Summary

You can export the Employees Deduction Summary report for further analysis or record-keeping. Available export formats include:

  • PDF
  • CSV
  • XLS or XLSX

To export the Employees Deduction Summary report:

  1. Go to Reports on the left sidebar.
  2. Click Employee Deductions.
  3. Click the Export as dropdown at the top right corner of the page.
  4. Choose your preferred format for exporting.
  5. If you want to protect the exported file with a password, check the Protect this file with a password option and enter a password with at least 6 characters.
  6. Click Export to download the report.
