Why am I unable to select the phone number from the dropdown when creating a WhatsApp channel in Zoho Books, or why is the dropdown empty?

If the phone number for your WhatsApp Business account is not verified in the Meta Business Suite, it will not appear in the dropdown when you create a WhatsApp channel in Zoho Books.

Meta will send you either a phone call or an OTP to verify the phone number associated with your WhatsApp Business account. To verify the number:

• In the Configure the Default WhatsApp Number dropdown, click Verify Number below the phone number dropdown.
• Enter the OTP received and click Verify.

The phone number associated with your WhatsApp Business account will be verified.

If you haven’t added your business phone number in the Meta Business Suite, add the respective phone number there, and it will be available in the WhatsApp integration page. To add a phone number in Meta Business Suite:

• Click Settings in the bottom left corner of the page.
• Click Accounts and select WhatsApp accounts from the dropdown.
• Select the account for which you want to add a phone number.
• Click WhatsApp Manager at the bottom of the Account Details section.
• Select Phone numbers under Account Tools in the left pane.

To view the phone number you added to the Meta Business Suite:

• Log in to the Meta Business Suite.
• Click Settings in the bottom left corner of the page.
• Click Accounts and select WhatsApp accounts from the dropdown.
• Select the account for which you want to view the phone numbers associated.
• Click WhatsApp Manager at the bottom of the Account Details section.
• Select Phone numbers under Account Tools in the left pane.

You can view the phone number associated with your WhatsApp Business account. If the phone number still doesn’t appear in the WhatsApp integration page dropdown, it may be connected to:

• Business Service Providers (BSP) other than Zoho Corporation, or
• Personal WhatsApp or business WhatsApp account.
