How do I resolve the “Invalid Recipient for Integration” error when using WhatsApp in Zoho Books?

The Invalid Recipient for Integration error in Zoho Books prevents communication with customers through WhatsApp and can occur due to the following reasons:

  • The customer or contact person’s phone number is not registered as a WhatsApp number.
  • The customer or contact person has not accepted the latest WhatsApp Terms and Conditions.
  • The customer or contact person is using an outdated version of WhatsApp.

To resolve this issue, ask the customer or contact person to either upgrade to the latest version of WhatsApp or accept the updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If their number is not registered as a business phone number, they must register it in the Meta Business Suite to become a valid recipient.
