Smart WebTech is Indian company founded in 2014 by Mr. Keval Kothari from Gujarat, with the goal of helping businesses establish their digital presence. From helping businesses create their online footprint to setting up online stores and managing SEO operations for clients, Smart WebTech has been a great enabler to provide the first step towards digital transformation.
With clients all over the world, Mr. Keval was looking for a solution to keep track of all their transactions and back-end operations. At first, spreadsheets were sufficient but as the volume of transactions increased, spreadsheets became too painful to manage. Especially with multi-currency transactions involved, bank reconciliation was proving to be a challenge and required too much effort and time.
"Back in 2014, we were manually tracking all the invoices and managing them in an excel sheet. We found it too hectic to download all the excel sheets, bank statements and reconcile them with the sales and purchase transactions," said Keval.
In 2018, Zoho announced its industry-first integration with ICICI Bank. This Connected Banking allowed businesses to connect their ICICI Bank account with Zoho Books to perform banking transactions right from the accounting platform. When the ICICI Bank’s team called Keval about this new offering, he immediately signed up for Zoho Books to test it’s capabilities.
What impressed him the most about Zoho Books was the intuitive, simple user interface that could be used by anyone. Multi-currency invoicing was a boon for him to manage international clients and their billing requirements.
Zoho Books and ICICI Bank integration has helped us solve most of our accounting and banking challenges. In one word if I want to describe Zoho Books and ICICI integration, I would say it's 'fantastic'.
The majority of Smart WebTech's business transactions occur via ICICI Bank. With hundreds of transactions every month, the current ICICI Bank account integration with Zoho Books provided much needed visibility into their business performance. This gave Keval more clarity on his cash flow and the ability to view live bank balance, fetch transactions real time, and reconcile them effortlessly.
"With Connected Banking, we can find rich information available on bank statements and other documents, which are missing in other banks. All the synchronization happens automatically and there is no need for any laborious work. Zoho Books and ICICI Bank integration has helped us solve most of our accounting and banking challenges. In one word if I want to describe Zoho Books and ICICI integration, I would say it's 'fantastic'." said Keval.
