Mobile App Development
June, 2011
Recently we talked to Jerome Schultz, General Manager of Mobafone GmbH. His company has been using our accounting software since June 2011 and has found it very useful.
Mobafone was founded in the year 2001 in Flensburg, Germany and has been growing ever since. In the mid-2000's, the company has expanded operations in the Far East. The company engages primarily in mobile application development and mobile service consultation and hence it aims to create unique customer experiences in the mobile internet space by developing the most innovative mobile apps. Mobafone has 300 employees in Germany, Thailand and Indonesia respectively.
Mobafone's services range from developing social media applications to aggregating content for mobile phones. The company offers thousands of Java games, tones/voices and graphic downloads in 2D and 3D formats that can be optimized to match the capabilities of any mobile handset. Mobafone prides itself in having it's own content management system that can be delivered across multiple channels and file formats. Mobafone also specializes in mobile payment solutions wherein it supports Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) billing, SMS billing etc., across all kinds of mobile OS platforms.?
The company has partnered with leading telecom service providers such as Telkomsel, Indosat, Orange - France Telecom, Telenor etc., Apparently, Mobafone partners with AdMob, which is one of the world's largest mobile advertising platforms so as to provide advertising solutions to its clients. The company has invested in Lurebook, Grupay and in few other companies as an angel investor.
As Mobafone operates in multiple countries, the company needed a complete accounting solution wherein the data can be accessed anytime, anywhere across the globe. So, the company was looking for a cloud-based accounting software that could also sync with G Suite. "We don't use MS Office suite in our company. We mostly use Google products", Jerome quoted saying when asked about why choose a cloud-based accounting solution. Mobafone was using Billomat, an invoice software, prior to migrating to Zoho Books. The challenge was to manage multiple accounts across the countries in which we operate. The previous invoicing software that we used did not have integration with G-Apps and was not a total accounting solutions provider.
Mobafone, which already uses Zoho Projects and Zoho CRM finally discovered our accounting program. Right from creating multi-currency invoices to managing multiple bank and credit card accounts, Zoho Books does it all. Now, the job of managing multiple country accounts has also been simplified for Mobafone.
Everything is just perfect about Zoho Books, the best thing is that this complete accounting software is cloud-based.
Thus, our simple yet powerful accounting program has helped Mobafone streamline its bookkeeping and accounting processes in a much efficient way.
