How do I deregister from VAT?

If your organisation is no longer meeting the eligibility criteria set by HMRC or has a turnover less than £83,000, you should cancel your VAT registration.

To deregister VAT in Zoho Books:

• Go to Settings in the top right corner.
• Click Taxes under Taxes & Compliance.
• Select VAT Settings from the left sidebar.
• Click Deregister in the top right corner of the page.
• Choose a VAT Deregistration Date and click Deregister.

Your organisation will no longer remain as a VAT registered business after the deregistration process.
