PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Helping people work online, Zoho today announced the Zoho Projects Bug Tracking Module, a powerful issue submission and bug tracking system that helps organizations and teams submit, track and fix software bugs. A video tour of Zoho Projects Bug Tracking Module is available at https://bit.ly/cVOxvB.
"Bugs and improvements are an unavoidable part of any technology product," said Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist.
"What really makes a difference to developers is how these bugs are tracked, prioritized and fixed. We designed the bug tracking module not as a separate application, but as a module on top of Zoho Projects as Projects is already designed to help teams collaborate. This new module can take advantage of Project Stream, shared files, discussions, team chat, and all the other integrated collaboration tools that Zoho Projects has to offer."
Tracking Bugs in Zoho Projects
Zoho Projects Bug Tracking Module is ideal for small teams with just one project as well as larger organizations with multiple projects. Users view and submit bugs for all projects from one central location. User-defined workflows and notifications keep all team members informed about changes in progress. Zoho Projects Bug Tracking Module lets users:
- Submit bugs – Users can submit bugs via rich text editor; attach related screenshots, movies and other files; enter specific information such as the issue severity or a bug's related software module; and assign a bug to a particular user. Users can also define rules to organize bugs as well as modify issue severity, priority, module, and user assignment as the bug status changes.
- Track bugs – Users can track all bugs related to a project via the Bugs List, which offers a filtered, at-a-glance view of recently-opened bugs. The History section shows changes to each bug along with corresponding user and date information. Users can also perform advanced searches to find issues and define-and later, modify-custom workflows for different departments, groups, projects, and bug types.
- Fix bugs – Teams can collaborate on fixing bugs via the tools integrated with Zoho Projects, including chat, discussion forums, Project Stream and more. Users can take collaboration to the next level with additional Zoho tools such as Zoho Assist, which provides screen sharing and remote control.

The Bug Tracking Module is available immediately as an add-on to Zoho Projects.
