Zoho Joins Industry Leaders to Address 2.0 Market Opportunities
PLEASANTON, Calif. - May 07, 2007 - Recently touted as a 'Cool Vendor' and one of the 'Top Applications to Grow Your Business', Zoho, a leading provider of Web-based applications for collaborative business, today announced that they will be participating in Software 2007, May 8-9 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. At the conference, Zoho will speak on the 'Office 2.0 Opportunities and Challenges' and provide demonstrations of the Zoho Office Suite in the Office 2.0 Pavilion.
"There are currently 500+ applications in the Office 2.0 space, but Zoho is one of the very few that is clearly entrenched with a strong and growing user base," said
Ismael Ghalimi, Office 2.0 thought leader and CEO of Intalio.
"As a company that always seems to be one step ahead of the pack, Zoho is even ahead of Google in terms of breadth of office applications. They are a phenomenon in the making, and I enjoy seeing a company that is championed by its community and not by its marketing department."
Office 2.0: Opportunities and Challenges
On Wednesday, May 9, 2007, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PDT, Zoho joins Koral and LucidEra in a panel discussion moderated by Intalio on Office 2.0 Opportunities and Challenges in Room 204.
"Office 2.0 answers the cries of consumers for simplification and provides a more fluid way to work across department and geographic boundaries. Zoho is committed to continue developing practical applications that will provide users with a full-service virtual office. We're not there yet, but we are working diligently to get there in the near future," stated Zoho evangelist Raju Vegesna. "For us, this means working with other installed applications. For instance, we recently introduced a plug-in for Microsoft Office, which will not only let users access Zoho documents in Microsoft Office, but also upload documents to Zoho directly from Microsoft Office."
Vegesna added, "We are not asking users to dump their previous work and convert entirely to Zoho. Instead, we are providing the means for users to continue with their existing software while taking advantage of the mobility and collaboration that Zoho applications offer."
Zoho consistently updates the Zoho Office Suite every week, and attendees can get a demonstration of the latest version in the Office 2.0 Pavilion at Software 2007.
