Zoho Chat 2.0 Debuts Multi-Protocol Chat
Supports Yahoo!, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, Jabber-based IM Networks
PLEASANTON, Calif.-- Zoho today announced Zoho Chat 2.0, the latest version of the company's online instant messaging software. Highlighted by multi-protocol support, Zoho Chat 2.0 lets users chat with members on Yahoo!, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Jabber-based IM networks.

Zoho at Web 2.0 Expo
At Web 2.0 Expo, Zoho will be in Expo Hall, Booth #829, showcasing the latest additions to its Zoho Office Suite and Zoho Chat 2.0. The show is being held March 31-April 3, 2009 at the Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco.
Ubiquitous Zoho Chat 2.0
With the latest version of Zoho Chat, users can automatically log into Yahoo!, Google, MSN, AIM, ICQ, and Jabber-based IM networks and chat with those users. Zoho Chat 2.0 has Zoho Meeting integrated to instantly start a meeting and share the desktop with users from other IM networks with a single click. Chat 2.0 also lets users send files to other Zoho users.
Apart from multi-protocol support, other highlights of Zoho Chat include:
- Integration with the entire Zoho product suite so users can chat from any Zoho application;
- Zoho Meeting Integration lets users share their desktop with users from all IM networks instantly with a single click;
- Chat History lets users search their entire chat history and review all chat transcripts with all users at any point in time;
- Embed Chat option lets users embed the chat box in their website/blog to communicate live with site visitors;
- Send Files to other Zoho Users through chat;
- Feeds section lets users view notifications like offline messages, document sharing messages, etc.;
- Calendar integration into Chat displays existing events and lets users add new events right from Zoho Chat;
- Audio Notifications are now available when users receive chat messages in inactive tabs;
- Background images can now be set for Zoho Chat with in-built or custom images;
- Buzz any IM network user with an audio notification that indicates chat status.
