Drop ship

The process whereby the customer, the seller, and the supplier interact with the sales transaction. The customer approaches the seller for a purchase, who arranges for a direct shipment from the supplier to the customer. The seller is akin to a shop-less shopkeeper, meaning they don’t carry the stock with them. There is no direct communication between the supplier and the customer. The seller serves as an opaque mediator between them.
