Zecomy uses Zoho Flow to overcome the limitations of native integration

The company

Zecomy is a complete waste management ecosystem that facilitates the processing of waste in alignment with ESG standards. Using cloud-based smart technology, they offer a robust digital platform that connects waste sellers and buyers, ensuring the safest disposal of scrap with full transparency and traceability. Operating across 24 states and over 200 locations, they're deeply committed to creating positive social impact. Their efforts have resulted in the recycling and refurbishment of more than 12,000 metric tons of waste, achieving a 98% recycling output and preventing 14,000 metric tons of carbon emissions.

The challenges and solutions

Limitations with native integration

Zecomy offers a transparent marketplace for buyers and sellers to easily and responsibly dispose of waste. Using Zoho Creator, Zecomy developed a marketplace to manage their customer and vendor data in Zoho CRM and Zoho Books. While native integration allowed for basic data syncing between these apps, it fell short with custom modules, custom fields, and critical data verification.

Zitraar Technologies, an Authorized Zoho Partner, has been with Zecomy since the start of their Zoho journey and understood the limitations of native integration. They also understood that Zecomy needed data automation and not just data sync, meaning that the integration of Zoho CRM and Zoho Books had to sync data along with carrying out data hygiene checks. That's when the team at Zitraar introduced Zoho Flow to Zecomy.

Using Zoho Flow, they integrated Zoho CRM and Zoho Books so that whenever a user creates a new record in CRM, the system automatically validates the details based on set business rules and maps them to the corresponding records in Books. Custom functions assist in validating the critical and mandatory fields of every new created record. The flow also syncs the contacts of the created record from Zoho CRM, ensuring that a record is created only once the validation is complete

Automating customer and vendor mapping

Zecomy offers a transparent bidding process for its customers and vendors. Once a customer shares the details of the assets for sale, vendors can bid on them, and customers can see the bids in real time. Once the bids are locked in, they automatically select the best bid and share the details with the customer, at which point the documentation work commences. Mapping the customer and vendor happens in the background for seamless financial transactions and the managing of customer accounts in Zoho Books.

They also utilize Zoho Books to manage the financial records of their customers. Following a deal closure, the team records the details of the deal in Zoho Books. For this process, the availability of customer and vendor records is critical. Using Zoho CRM's record created or updated trigger, the data is synced to Zoho Books while the flow also verifies if the vendor's record is available or not. If not found, the flow creates a vendor record and links it with the customer record in Zoho Books and updates the record in Zoho CRM.
